Family Resource Center (FRC)
The Family Resource Center staff may help you in many ways. You can call them at (608) 275-6740, or talk to your Teacher, Family Outreach Worker, or Family Advocate for a referral.
ADULT EDUCATION
- One-on-one teaching in reading, writing and math
- Informal GED/HSED classes
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
EMPLOYMENT
- Pre-employment assistance, filling out applications, writing resumes, and preparation for interviews
- Identifying employment skills and interests
- Information about job openings
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
- Recognizing and managing the signs of drug and alcohol use and abuse
- Managing stress and mental health issues
- Concerns about problems contributing to anunhealthy family life
- Accessing community resources
PARENTING EDUCATION
- Parenting support and education to assist in helping your child with learning, behavior management, and helping your child understand feelings, reducing stress, etc.
- Information and referrals to other parenting services in your area
HOUSING
- Assistance for homeless families in finding and securing satisfactory housing
