INFANT/TODDLER TEACHER ASSISTANT

Location: Wee Start
Hours: 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM , M-F; (20 hours per week/ part-year position)
Supervisor: Dorothy Bass
Description/Qualifications: This position will involve assisting the Teacher in the classroom. Candidates must be responsible, reliable, and able to supervise a group of children, as well as cooperatively work as a part of a team.  Qualified candidates will have obtained the Introduction to Childcare as a Profession course and have experience working with young children.  Experience working with highly challenging populations is highly desirable.  This position will require employee to obtain the following courses: Skills and Strategies in Childcare as well as the 20 hour Fundamentals of Infant/Toddler Care course.

INFANT / TODDLER TEACHER ASSISTANT SUB

Location: UW Great Beginnings
Hours: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM M-F; (28 hours per week/ full-year position)
Supervisor: Robyn Czappa
Description/Qualifications: This position will involve assisting the Teacher in the classroom. Candidates must be responsible, reliable, and able to supervise a group of children, as well as cooperatively work as a part of a team.  Qualified candidates will have obtained the Introduction to Childcare as a Profession course and have experience working with young children.  Experience working with highly challenging populations is highly desirable.  This position will require employee to obtain the following 40 hour courses: Introduction to Childcare as a Profession, Skills and Strategies in Childcare as well as the 15 hour Infant/Toddler Certification.  This position is to spend 20 hours/week subbing in the classroom, and 8 hours/week cleaning at the site.
